About
This poster for the National War Garden commission presents war gardens as almost magical. At the bottom of the poster, multiple people tend to war gardens small and large, working together in perfect harmony. From behind their gardens a rainbow sprouts, stretching across the poster. At the center is a larger-than-life Lady Liberty, holding a saber and looking out, chin lifted nobly. Her left hand scatters seeds across the war gardens, adding a patriotic nobility to their humble farming.
