About
“Will you have a part in victory?” this poster accusingly asks the viewer. A woman draped in an American flag dress walks through a field, spreading seeds. Her stern expression and lifted chin recall that of a soldier, as if she, too is doing her part for the war effort. War gardens like the one she is seeding are thus considered just as important to the war effort as weapon plants–the text across the bottom of the poster reads “Every Garden A Munition Plant!”
