About

This poster by Charles Buckles Falls asks the viewer to donate their “slacker” records to soldiers overseas. One soldier is depicted crouching down next to a box of records, holding one up for the other, standing soldier in full battle dress to examine. Both are smiling, a stark difference from the stern-faced soldiers usually shown in war posters. The records are obviously acting as a sort of relief for them, a break from the trials of war–a relief that, according to this poster, the viewer can help provide.
