About

Professional baseball player Jackie Robinson broke the color line with the Brooklyn Dodgers becoming their first player of color in 1947. His eponymous comic book serves to detail the struggle of being the only representation of a person of color in major league baseball through a classic hero-villain action comic book, simplifying America’s race problem for children. The cover depicts a cheery Robinson and an inset-photograph of him in action on the baseball diamond.
